Our Baseline Studies establish comprehensive, verifiable, and statistically robust data on all key performance indicators (KPIs), outcome variables, and contextual factors before project activities begin. This creates a solid reference point against which future progress and impact can be accurately measured. We combine large-scale quantitative surveys with in-depth qualitative insights, secondary data triangulation, and geospatial analysis to produce detailed baseline reports. These studies support realistic target setting, strong results frameworks, logical frameworks (logframes), and effective project design. In complex environments across Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia and the rest of Africa, our baseline data helps projects account for regional variations, seasonal factors, and socio-economic diversity. High-quality baseline studies are essential for credible Project Monitoring and Evaluation. They enable precise measurement of change over time, attribution of results, and value-for-money analysis. Organizations use our baseline findings to engage donors confidently, secure additional funding, and set ambitious yet achievable goals. We also build capacity of local partners during the process, ensuring data ownership and sustainability.
